About Suresh Doki
Suresh Doki is an IT professional and finance expert who has been in the industry for over thirty years. He currently works as an independent consultant, advising his clients on mergers and acquisitions and writing in multiple programming languages using his impressive coding skills. His impressively consistent background includes experience working with the federal government as well as privately-owned firms.
Suresh Doki received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Andhra University in Visakhapatnam, India. After graduation, he continued his studies, earning a master’s degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) located in Worcester, MA. He was fascinated by IT management and soon took on the role of Systems Administrator for WPI. Some of his duties in that position included complete administration of the Sun, DEC, and HP workstations in the computer labs and writing code in C, csh, and ksh programming languages to manage and create experimental prototypes.
As a contractor, Suresh Doki spent several years honing his craft and increasing his skillset. He traveled to New Jersey to work for AT&T Bell Laboratories as a contracted Systems Programmer. His duties included developing proprietary systems and database programs using C, Sybase, and Oracle programming languages. He also created a Sybase database of a medical thesaurus and applied it to medical report retrieval procedures to allow diagnostic search capabilities. Suresh also helped co-author the user manual for the thesaurus project.
As a contracted software developer for Bellcore, Suresh Doki was essential in creating multiple stages of a program’s lifecycle. He wrote the code for the Integrated Service Control Point (ISCP) using C/C++ and Perl, implemented IBM’s System Management Interface Tool (SMIT) for the user interface, and wrote deployment scripts for the (ISCP) using Perl and ksh.
As a programmer analyst for MCI Metro, Suresh split his duties between working with designers, developers, and testers to roll out the Metro Trouble Management system and the Network and Service Provisioning System. When Suresh began consulting for the home banking industry, his time with Visa Interactive was a similar experience. He divided most of his time among different departments to bring the Transaction Processing System and the Internal Support to life. Suresh also used C, Perl, and ksh to code various tools to enable the system-testing department to automate its testing mechanism.
The Dulles Technology Corridor is a commercial cluster in Northern Virginia near Washington Dulles International Airport that houses several defense and technology businesses. Suresh Doki accepted the position of President of Cambridge Technologies, an IT Professional Services company in the district. In this role, he helped sales and business development efforts increase by 200%. As CEO of Cambridge Systems, a Services, and Solutions company in The Silicon Valley of the East, Suresh studied prospective markets and took the company in an IT staffing direction, expanding its growth plan and guiding the sales and marketing teams. He also established a government practice and launched a new line of services to employ the Healthcare Industry and new product acquisition and procurement support for the federal government. As the Vice President of Business Development for Goldbelt Raven, LLC, an Alaskan Native Corporation, Suresh continued his successful staffing ventures for the healthcare and life sciences industries.
